"Everyone tells me that I'm a really funny guy, so I can live with that." |
Dakota is a big Jim Carrey fan and shares his hero's ability to make people laugh. But comedy is not all he does well — he plays soccer as well as lacrosse and claims he does his best work under pressure. This should serve him well on Endurance. Winning is everything to Dakota — even more important than making friends on the show. Dakota's a very talkative guy, but there's one sure way to make him shut up — show him spiders and other insects. He's deathly afraid of them. Hopefully, he won't encounter any during the competition! | |

Dakota Fisher (born May 10, 1990) is a former Endurance: High Sierras contestant and finalist. He competed alongside Kelsey Schultz as the Purple Team .
Endurance[]
Dakota was one of the contestants that made it through the Right to Stay. In the partner selection, he wanted to be partners with Kelsey, but Taylor also wanted him, and so she put him in the "magical square" of people who weren't assigned a partner yet. To not hurt the latter's feelings, he didn't say anything, which led to massive chaos when he hinted he didn't agree. He ended up winning the power to select the first team, in which he selected Cameron and Aeriel. In return, they paired him up with Kelsey, the partner he wanted; and they partnered Alex with Cealey as the next team. They ended up becoming the Purple Team in Unwind.
Afterward, they received the Triangle of Immunity, and started to be considered as the strongest team. Dakota was critical of Ike's tactics, and planned to get Blue out as a result. In Hot Potato, Purple worked together well, but were shocked to see the Blue Team win the mission. Afterwards, Dakota plotted that Taylor gives the power to switch two teams to Cameron, and they switch the Blue and Gray Teams. Dakota justified this by saying that the other teams wanted Blue and Gray gone, and they could be sent to Temple afterwards. He managed to make the plan through, which he sheepishly admitted in the fallout, shocking Taylor in the process. In Move it Along, they lost the mission, but were spared from the Samadhi.
In Walk the Plank, Dakota held onto Kelsey, and suggested that she did weigh twenty pounds. As soon as Ike let go, Dakota followed, giving the win to the Red Team. Because of the close alliance between Red, Purple, Green, and Orange, Dakota was spared from the Temple of Fate.
In Fill and Spill, Dakota said he wasn't falling, and promised Max that Orange would be in favor in terms of the superteams. This was enough for the latter to let go, giving Purple their first mission win. While planning out who would be on each superteam, Dakota pointed out how Yellow and Blue knew that PROG would eliminate them, solidifying their status as the "main clique" of the season. However, he argued with Max for a bit because the latter wanted to be in the protected position. This is in spite of Purple becoming closer to Green in the group, and Dakota having a thing for Cealey.
Portrayal[]
Dakota was portrayed as a strategist, and would do anything to win even with dirty tricks. In some cases, however, he lies in order to work out his plans.
Quotes[]
- "Let's pull names out of a hat!"
- "We're in a cabin!"
- "Ike is digging himself the biggest hole I've ever seen."
- (confessional) "So, me and Kelsey came up with this major plan— we're going to gyp Blue and Gray."
- (speaking with everyone except Cealey, Aeriel and both members of Blue and Gray) "So you know how Blue can give the power away to someone else? They'll give it to Red, and they're then gonna switch Blue and Gray, because those are the two teams that we want gone."
- "I talked with Cameron, and both of us had a hand in planning it; I was good friends with Red and Green and didn't want to see them broken up."
- "Seeing the emotions was a wakeup call to me."
- Max: "You're a monster."
- Dakota: "I'm a monster! (the rest of the group laughs) But anyway, I felt horrible about that, and it's still a game."
- "I'm so hungry."
- "You weigh like 20 pounds!"
- (as Cealey pours into the Purple barrel) "STOP IT; YOU'RE THE ONLY ONE GOING AFTER ME!"
- "Yellow and Blue know that's our plan to get rid of them."
- "Green has always been our good friends, but we've saved Green a lot, and we're getting sick of it; if we win, we're almost thinking about sending Green, just because we've been, like, babying them the whole entire time, and if they don't win today's Temple Mission, then they don't deserve to win."
- "Connor, this is the second time I've had to say goodbye to you!"
- "Red not giving their piece is upsetting me the most out of all this— throughout all the game, Red was friends with Purple, Green and Orange, and what in their right mind would make them wanna give the piece to Blue?!"
- "I didn't think I made any enemies, besides Gray team!"
- "It was really cool, because we remembered a lot, and we got all our memories and just splattered our memories all over the wall."
- "Living in those treehouses has been a once in a lifetime experience; I mean, when are you gonna spend a good portion of the summer in a treehouse with 20 really great people? I mean, there's no other time you're gonna do that."
- "I feel really nervous; this is the first time in the whole entire game that I've actually realized that a team could beat us and win the whole thing."
- "It was between Purple and Blue who deserved it more; they were just a big threat, and we needed to get rid of them."
- "I would stay on Endurance for the rest of my life, I mean living in a treehouse? I'd do it again in a heartbeat; my proudest moment on Endurance was definitely making top two— I've came all this way, battled through trolls and ogres, and made top two without having to use immunities or going to Temple once, and that's a huge accomplishment for me, and for Green to take that away from me, that just won't be fun."
- "It's a battle of mass proportions in my stomach right now against butterflies and calmness, and the butterflies are winning right now."
